Adopt-A-Road In Union County, Tennessee

The Adopt-A-Road program is very simple and easy to join.

Once a member, you will be provided supplies for pick-ups, and a sign with your organization's or group's name on it.  Keep Union County Beautiful (KUCB) will provide safety equipment and litter bags, and will remove the filled bags on the next business day following an organized cleanup campaign.

In addition, signs will be erected at each end of the "adopted" section of road so everyone will know who is keeping the area clean!  We are very thankful to Knox County Sign Department and Bill Manning for the signs.  Knox County donates the Adopt-A-Road Signs to us complete with lettering.

This is an example of the signs KUCB marks adopted sections of roadway with.

Keep Union County Beautiful would like to encourage everyone to help make our roads litter-free so the natural beauty of the area can shine through.

Individuals, church groups, businesses, and other organizations are invited to adopt a segment of a road in Union County and commit to keeping the litter picked up for two years.

We have several miles in Union County which have been adopted and would like to encourage everyone to take part in this wonderful program.   (See Union County Roads Currently Adopted) There are many more miles of Union County roadway that are not adopted, just waiting for someone to provide a little tender love and care for them.
